Left-back may not be a position Liverpool , the Premier League giants, need to improve urgently this summer, but new manager Arne Slot “The Reds” must start planning for the future.

Liverpool’s first-choice left-back Andrew Robertson is 30 and has been struggling, while substitute Kostas Tsimikas has been inconsistent. Here are five interesting options for the Reds in their search for a new left-back.

1. Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolverhampton Wanderers)

Rayan Ait-Nouri

Ait-Nouri is probably the most widely linked left-back at Liverpool this summer and his attacking prowess, possession in tight areas and defensive solidity in 33 Premier League appearances last season make him an attractive option. The 23-year-old Algerian has faced

Liverpool’s Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah on a number of occasions and has dealt with him well and consistently made things difficult for the Egyptian. “

Because he has been linked with Liverpool a lot recently and Liverpool obviously have a good relationship with him, so I think there is something going on,” said David Lynch of the สมัคร ufabet Anfield Index.

2. Pervis Estupián (Brighton)

Pervis Estupinán

Although the rumors of Estupián are not very credible, he is someone who can definitely strengthen Liverpool’s left-sided defense and his performance since moving from Villarreal to Brighton in 2022 has proven this well. Last year, the 26-year-old Ecuadorian left-back

performed excellently by completing 6.21 forward passes per 90 minutes, which ranked him in the top five percentage of players in Europe’s top five leagues, and he also ranked high in interceptions and forward carries. Estupián

is a key player for Brighton and has a contract until 2027, with a price tag of around £30 million.

3. Anthony Robinson (Fulham)

The American left-back has consistently impressed against Liverpool and many fans have tipped him to replace Tsimikas. His style of play is widely seen as a perfect fit for Slots’ approach to football. Strong,

quick and full of technique, Robinson made 44 appearances in all competitions for Fulham. Under Marco Silva last season, helping the Cottagers finish 13th in the Premier League. Robinson

‘s displays also earned him Fulham’s Player of the Season award for the 2023/24 season.

4. Piero Hincapie (Bayer Leverkusen)

Piero Hincapie

incapie may not be a natural left-back but he is on this list because he can play there. The 22-year-old is a highly-talented defender who is usually deployed as a centre-half but started 10 times on the left flank last season

as a key player in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga title triumph. The Ecuadorian is reportedly set to cost as much as £66million but it would be a good move for Liverpool given he has several years left in his contract and is versatile enough to play in a number of positions.

5. Milos Kerkez (Bournemouth)

Milos Kerkez

Before Kerkez joined Bournemouth, he was also a subject of interest from Liverpool, highlighted by the impressive record of the Cherries’ then technical director, Richard Hughes, now the Reds’ sporting director. Despite a fine first season in the Premier League, Kerkez is

unlikely to be ready to break into the Liverpool first-choice role, however, and the 20-year-old could be a long-term replacement for Robertson.
